CHANGE

Change
by Judy Merrill

The only constant in life is change.  We are changing all the time, physically.  Our mental gymnastics of constant thought brings constant change to our environment.  The spirit catches up with the experiences gleaned from the universe in change to the spirit/soul through opportunities and challenges that give us experience to grow.

The fall seems to be the most obvious season of change.  The beauty of the changing leaves to the winds that bring in the cold to prepare for the hibernation season of winter.   In the midst of this season of change, we often seek out a haven of constancy, instead of going with the changes.  It is difficult for the body, mind and spirit to address all the changes our environment brings.   And yet, using the winds of change it brings about the new adventures our lives seek out.  We are often bored with the same old routines and constancy.  And yet, we fear the changes.

The secret to comfort in the change is to be in charge of the changes you wish to make.   The law of attraction has been touted as the most interesting of events these days.  Using it wisely and with some understanding of change in all things, we can create an atmosphere of change that does not unsettle the constancy of our lives.   What do we want to attract? When we fill our being with love, it is love we attract.  So the inner attitude seems to be high on the list of things to attract.  The wealth we seek is not the prosperity of money.  It is the prosperity of our relationships that matter to our growth in love and life.   Through many things and reasons, changes happen there too.

The death of a loved one is perhaps one of the hardest changes to deal with as life moves on for the remaining one.  There is no right way to grieve the loss nor to make it any easier to bear.  Everyone has to find that path through it on their own.   The season of change helps blow away the cobwebs of holding on to suffering and allows the body, mind, spirit to heal itself and move on to living.  It is so easy to remain stuck in grief rather than use it to honor the dead and go on living.

We all have a mandate to live, love and laugh.  When we choose to examine our spirit within we realize how much laughter makes our lives full of love.  We do not laugh at one another.  But we can laugh at the foibles of life that keep us stuck in old patterns, resisting the new changes. Dress warmly and get out into the winds of the changing season.  Find the inspiration to live in change so that life becomes a habit of change.  Do not change for the sake of change.  Change to enhance all that you have grown to be as that will take you one step further in change to the body, mind and spirit for the good of the soul.
