On the astrological front, this week is one of the most impactful times of the year. Neptune,
the planet of the seas and water regains direct motion Wednesday the 13th
as a turning of the tides of man and nature. Before a planet changes motion it does what is
called ‘station’ or stands still.
Typhoon Haiyan, considered now one of largest storms in recorded history formed under
the auspices of an almost stationary Neptune as well as Mercury. Take two planets sitting –
figuratively spinning in place, add Uranus square Pluto, plus a solar eclipse in Scorpio – and the
situation turned dangerous.
World events, including weather, do have a correlation to astrology and Haiyan was created
under the auspices of a planetary storm. Neptune is no stranger to suffering, either, and I send
my deepest sympathy and respect to anyone personally impacted by this terrible event.
Easier to take, but also fascinating, are two more major events that will occur this week when
Venus interacts with both Uranus and Pluto.
Venus in the Sky With Diamonds
Venus represents our desires – what we like and dislike. Venus is easily visible in the evening
western sky. From now until early January, she exhibits her finest beauty. You can look at Venus
and actually see her array of colors – predominantly blues, red, and pinks. Just like the moon,
Venus cycles in phases from new to full. Now at the end of her full phase, she’s in a mellow
mood and glowing like a jewel in the evening sky.
When a personal planet Venus gets intimate with the outer planets Uranus and Pluto – things
can get really interesting. Here are some suggestions of what you may experience in the next 7
to 10 days:
• Secrets will be revealed – for better or worse
• Re-emergence of long buried talents and/or skills
• Finding long lost possessions
• Reuniting with long lost friends
• Old disagreements can be healed
• Productive time for deep inner work; love of self
• Insight on profitable business idea
• Jealousy, secretiveness, and possessiveness in love
• Sudden breakup of long standing relationships
• Dissolving old beliefs and values
• Breakthrough in a stalemate
• Fated attractions that may – or may not last
. Think of this
Because of the connections of Venus with adornment, and Pluto to
mining and investments, this is also a positive time for investing in
One way to get into a resonance or harmony with planetary events is
to wear or have compatible stones in your presence.
Here is my list of favorable gems that correspond nicely to the current planetary aspects: Blue
Opal, Garnet, Tourmaline (any color), Jet, Kyanite, and Ammolite.
Ammolite is found only in an ancient sea bed located in Southern Alberta, Canada. It’s said to
be one of the rarest gemstones in the world.
You, too, are a rare jewel. Keep the faith, and be blessed.
