New Moon on Friday clears the template for your intention in the lunar cycle ahead. Mars has delivered his ultimatums and now prepares to high tail his butt out of Libra. Uranus continues to pour his magic elixir into the cosmic mix of creation. Chiron and Saturn stand by, diligently knitting the pieces that have been dismantled by the expressive planetary weather of 2014.
Mars, Uranus, Chiron, and Saturn are all now within 16 to 17 degrees in their respective signs. In plain language this means that they’re actively engaged in conversation, and we are wise to pay attention.
Our New Moon of June 27 is in Cancer – a sign ruled by the Moon. Cancer is a watery, feminine sign that corresponds to family, children, nurturing, and your Inner Child. Nicely, this lunation interacts with Neptune, an aspect that softens any situation.
The Moon/Neptune trine of June 27th is an invitation to look inside, and dive into the revelations held in the body essence of your subconscious. Neptune in Pisces is a sympathetic voice to the Cancer New Moon –it’s a perfect aspect for calling upon your dreams to manifest in your life.
When meditating on Cancer, remember that your body is mostly made up of water, an element that is both malleable and relentless. Cancer is ruled by the Moon – a body we see in the sky often, yet it appears differently every night. To fulfill the promise of this Cancer New Moon, you must succumb to the vulnerability of change. Doesn’t it feel good to know that the other planets are standing by with their support?
A full natal horoscope is shown as a 12 house wheel, with one of the 12 zodiac signs appearing at the beginning of each house. For example, if you have Cancer rising, that means that the sign Cancer (and the Moon) rules your 1st house. If you have Leo rising, Cancer, the sign previous to Leo, will rule your 12th house, and so on.
It’s important to know how Cancer plays in your natal chart because Cancer reveals where you can consciously nurture your growth. In the same way that the Moon reflects the light of the Sun in the sky – your Cancer house reveals how you instinctively express the qualities of your Sun sign. Your Cancer house reveals where you must grow through the process of caring; or, where you will continue to feed an insatiable hunger.
Here’s a quick list of houses and how each integrates through the sign of Cancer. If you have Cancer at the beginning of:

House 4 – Home: Get acquainted with your Inner Child and strive for health in all aspects of your life. Balance home, family, work, and personal life. Feed your body, love your life.

House 11 – Community: Friends become family. You’re a natural accumulator – avoid hoarding, and instead collect the accoutrements of a rich and full life. You do well to feed the masses, but don’t bring them home.
House 12 – Release: When it’s time to let go, do so with grace. Holding on to pain or regret is no way to face the future. Enjoy your ancestors by giving them a special place to reside; a spirit house or lovely gravesite.
