Are You a Doer Or a Don’t-er?

Let’s talk about people who are “doers” in their lives and those who are “don’t-ers.” Or should we say someone who does, and someone who doesn’t. We could talk about it being positive and negative, we could talk about it being happy or sad, but you could really just categorize people in those two categories of those who do and those who don’t.
Doers are those who attempt things and don’t-ers are those who don’t even bother. Doers use every opportunity as one of expansion. They always enjoy the experience of doing something new and different. They look upon challenges as something to work through, not something to run from. They understand that by attempting they're going to realize a certain percentage of success. Even if they do fail, the people who are doers get that by the mere act of trying, they always take away something from the experience.
How self-aware are you? Who do you blame for all of your perceived non-achievements in life? Doers claim accountability even for their shortcomings. “I was on my path to achieving this and I don’t blame anybody else except myself for not achieving it,” they say. A don’t-er always has an excuse as to why they didn’t achieve what it was they were striving for — almost always with somebody else to blame.
Doers will always give others the accolades of their achievements; don’t-ers only claim their own achievements at the expense of others. A don’t-er gives credit to others when they fail, and claims whole credit for themselves when they achieve. A doer will claim credit for themselves and give others their due credit when they succeed. Can you see that they are total opposites?
Now let’s try replacing the word “don’t” and instead say you are “disconnected.” That would mean that you are no longer connected to the Source of all things. As a doer you do, because you know that’s all there is to do. As a don’t-er you are disconnected from Source. You have forgotten how powerful you are, you have stopped achieving things, you can’t do it, you don’t want to do it, things in life are too hard. You have fallen off the recognition wagon of your own powerful self. If you had full recollection of who you are, your connection to Source, and how powerful your being is, you couldn’t help but do.
So if connection is doing and disconnection is don’t-ing, how does a don’t become a do? Through self-awareness and reconnection to Source. Then you realize there is nothing else but to do; there are no failures and no weaknesses in ultimate reality. Once you get your mindset on that wagon you are going to do.
Now the difficulty comes in that the universe delivers everything that we request. So for someone who is used to being a don’t because nothing ever works out, that is exactly what you get in your life —nothing. Your experience is your request. So shift your request, shift your experience and the universe will deliver.
Because the universe delivers to you exactly what you perceive to be your experience, that’s why we do not hold onto past life experiences. Life would become way too complicated and it would limit our progression if we were to remember past lives. We have a hard enough time with our own experiences in the current reality.
You can choose to become anything that you choose at any moment that you choose it. And what is the difference between being a do and being a don’t? Fear or love! It always comes down to those two categories. Love is always do, fear is always don’t.
Ultimate Reality or Illusion?
Ultimate reality is only love and doing because that is what Source is doing. Disconnection is illusion and forgetting who you by are living in the illusion around you. Everything in life and in our existence falls into those two categories: love or fear. Connection or disconnection. You do or you don’t.
Let’s work on getting you to be a better doer, on getting you more to the do side in life. What type of person would you have become if your parents had sat you down and said to you, “I believe you are a doer. That is a wonderful way to be in your life. I believe you will do much more with your life because of the fact that you are that way. Walk awake in your knowing that no matter what you do, you are doing!”
What a difference that would make in one’s life, don’t you think? What kind of self-empowering knowledge with connection would you have in all that you do? Would you look at things differently and understand things differently in your life just by doing instead of don’t-ing?
The good news is that YOU choose to make that distinction in your life. No one else does, only you. It all has to do with acknowledgment of oneself. You have to be able to experience yourself. You have to be able to understand yourself. You have to be able to be comfortable with yourself and you have to be connected to yourself.
You make the decision as to what you would like to do next. So what are you going to… DO?
